Get egg-cited: a Battle of the Bunnies is happening this Easter

Posted on

Grab your carrots, ‘cause this is one battle that will have your kids bouncing with joy.

Forget the Battle of the Bands, this Easter, Marketplace Gungahlin is hosting what might just be the most adorable competition Canberra has ever seen – the Battle of the Bunnies.

A unique and heartwarming event that will bring together creativity, community, and a whole lot of fun, the shopping centre is inviting local primary school students to unleash their artistic talents by decorating larger-than-life Easter bunny sculptures.

Set to transform the centre into a vibrant Easter wonderland, the bunnies will be displayed from Saturday 12 until Sunday 27 April, near Master Goose. But there’s a sweet twist to this Easter display – the power is in your hands to vote for the winner.

Calling for the community to vote for their favourite bunny, the winning school will receive a jam-packed prize package include a bundle of prizes including a Marketplace Centre Gift Card, a Tiny Creatures & Co Gift Card, Back to School Styling Packs from Price Attack, Back to School Supplies from Big W and more!

All you need to do is visit Marketplace Gungahlin during the campaign period to view the amazing bunny designs and cast your vote online for your favourite.

Now that’s a rush better than consuming Cadbury Creme Eggs.

All about celebrating the creativity of our young local artists and fostering a sense of community, that’s not all that’s happening at Marketplace Gungahlin this Easter. Whether you’re a proud parent, a curious shopper, or an Easter enthusiast, there are plenty of reasons to hop into Marketplace Gungahlin.

Go bunny spotting!

We happen to have it on good authority that this Easter, the big bunny itself will be making a very special guest appearance at the centre.

Hopping around for meet-and-greets and photo opportunities on Thursday 17, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 April, between 10 am and 1 pm, take the kids along to meet the Easter Bunny in the flesh (or is that the fur?) for an unforgettable experience.

Explore the Enchanted Forest

Easter is full of magic, so it feels only right that this April you can wander into Marketplace Gungahlin’s enchanting Easter Forest! Children can lose themselves in the forest to make bunny masks, fairy garden jars and more between Saturday 12 and 27 April.

Make sure to reserve a spot so your little one doesn’t miss out!

Make the most of the Marketplace Farm

From hatching chicks to decorating Easter eggs, making a mini farm and a candy carrot treat, this Easter the Marketplace Farm is taking wholesome seasonal experiences to a whole new level.

With activities running from Saturday 12 until Sunday 27 April, book here to reserve your spot.

And more!

Whether you’re bunny spotting, looking for something fun for the kids to do, or just want to get ahead on Easter shopping, Marketplace Gungahlin is making this Easter holiday season extra special.
