Grab your ugly Santa jumpers – the Xmas in July Festival is back for winter!

Real Christmas trees, wooden huts, hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas lights and melted cheese stations…our favourite European-style Christmas Market is back this winter.

Grab your ugly Christmas jumpers and don your cutest mittens cause this is the cosy news we needed today.

After a tres successful year last year that saw over  60,000 people attending the free festival, French Christmas vibes are back for one long weekend of seasonal deliciousness from Thursday 27 until Sunday 30 June.

From mulled wine and falling snow to melted cheese (raclette!) stations, real Christmas trees, wooden huts, hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas lights and live music, it’s all about celebrating the magic of Christmas…in July (or in this case, the end of June).

This year will see over 40 pop-up restaurants showcasing the finest French and European cuisine, from melted cheese stations serving raclette and fondue to delicious gnocchi in creamy mushroom sauce, oversized German hot dogs, lobster rolls, and so much more.

For those with a sweet tooth,  hot chocolate bars and chocolate cocktails with toasted marshmallows are set to return, along with the Mulled wine bars and a unique peanut butter hot whiskey drink that’s making our mouths water.

Across four days, sing along to Christmas carols, warm your hands over a fire, attend of the 15 live concerts, and performances by some of Canberra’s most talented artists and take a stroll under kilometres of fairy lights as you make memories and snap one heck of a selfie for the ‘gram.

Want to take your experience to the next level? How about renting a private igloo for your group or that special someone where you can feast on melted raclette cheese drizzled over hot potatoes and be warmed by a personal fire pit? Yes, there will be marshmallows to toast.
