GAMMA.CON, Canberra’s own pop culture festival, is returning to Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) this August and the line up keeps getting bigger.
Yesterday, GAMMA.CON announced that US-based YouTube gaming stars Jesse Cox and Alex Faciane (pictured) will be appearing at the convention, joining anime voice actor Paul St. Peter and cosplayers HenchWench, Danielle Debs, ScrapShopProps and NerdCore Creations.
Together, Jesse and Alex have more than 2.8 million subscribers across their various YouTube channels and will be appearing at GAMMA.CON on a Q&A panel about their popular Scary Game Squad videos.
Their panel will be just one of the many events happening across the weekend with workshops, talks, panels, Q&A sessions, screenings and more all in the one location.
GAMMA.CON is also the perfect place to shop for books, comics, fan gear and more, with over 100 stallholders setting up shop, including local author and HerCanberra writer Courtney Carr, who will be promoting her latest novel, Cosmic Decay Part Two: Debris.
With over 6000 attendees in 2018, GAMMA.CON is expecting big crowds, with pop culture enthusiasts of all ages invited to attend.
There’s even an 18+ portion of the weekend, with Saturday evening from 7 pm onwards reserved for GAMMA@Night, which will be presented in partnership with Civic’s RELOAD Bar and Games.
An inclusive and supportive environment, GAMMA.CON encourages all pop culture enthusiasts to come along with an open mind and lots of free time.
