Canberra’s weather is going on a trip this long weekend, and unfortunately, sunshine isn’t on the itinerary. But a little rain doesn’t mean you have to stay home. From a glassblowing class to virtual reality experiences, high tea, trivia, live music, and a classic trip to the Haig Park Markets, there’s plenty to keep you entertained. Whether you’re planning a day out with friends, looking for something to do with the family, or simply want to make the most of the long weekend, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite ways to spend it. Rain, drizzle and all.
Glass Blowing Experience: Make Your Own Bird
The clouds may be dark and gloomy, but the birds are still chirping! Head to Canberra Glassworks for an unmatched one-on-one glass-blowing experience where you can create your very own glass bird with guidance from a skilled glass-blowing teacher.
