See beyond the edges of your screen—ABC Canberra is having an open day!

Are you ready to pull back the curtain on your favourite ABC TV and radio moments? The magic doesn’t just happen on air!
The ABC is a staple of radio and television for Australians nationwide, whether it’s sports, news, or kids’ TV (does anyone else remember when ABC Me was ABC3?). But have you ever wondered how the final product came to be? Even if you haven’t, wonder no more!
ABC Canberra is throwing open its doors on Saturday 26 August to invite you to see what really goes into making your favourite shows.
Watch the behind-the-scenes of your favourite programs come to life in front of your eyes, see the radio team broadcast live, get an exclusive studio tour, or even chance a meeting with your favourite ABC personality (including veteran journalist Adrienne Francis who has a passion for vintage fashion and other national TV presenters including Laura Tingle, David Speers, Lisa Millar, Michael Rowland, James Glenday and Greg Jennett)!
There will also be live music, a sausage sizzle, coffee and for the younger ABC viewers, the Play School set including some of the beloved stuffed animal toys will be on show.
There’s truly something for everyone at the ABC, and this once-in-a-decade open day is your chance to experience it up close and personal.
