Shut up and take my money—a tribute candlelight Hans Zimmer concert is coming to Canberra

Calling all film buffs, music lovers, and anyone that had to play the Pirates of the Caribbean Suite in primary school band: you can’t miss this Hans Zimmer concert coming to the National Gallery of Australia.

Now if you don’t know the name Hans Zimmer (how could you not know the name?!) we promise you will recognise some of the award-winning film soundtracks this influential film composer has scored (hello Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron).

Imagine yourself in a candle-lit theatre, listening to a breathtaking rendition of the emotional music Zimmer is famous for played by a talented string ensemble—and as a well-known musical genius (previously being nominated for two Emmys and a Tony and named the winner of two Oscars and four Grammys) we can promise that you won’t be disappointed as the glow of Candlelight washes over you.

Composing music for high-rating, award-winning, and just downright amazing films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Wonder Woman, The Lion King, and Interstellar, you can be certain that when Candlelight: Best of Hans Zimmer at NGA comes to Canberra on Wednesday 19 and Friday 21 October for two 65-minute performances it will be an out-of-this-world experience.

At the Candlelight Concert, you will re-live the memories and feelings associated with your favourite soundtracks, from super dramatic scenes in Batman and Wonder Woman to the absolute bangers in Madagascar and The Lion King, you will be laughing, crying, and everything in between.
