Take your boo to Woo at the Zoo this Valentine’s Day

Looking for something wildly romantic to do this Valentine’s Day with someone special? We have a suggestion that will inject some ‘Zoo-la-la’ into your date night.

Okay that was a bad pun, but trust us when we say that your wildest Valentine’s date awaits at the National Zoo and Aquarium thanks to their special event, Woo at the Zoo.

And what you need to know is all in the name.

Taking place on 14 February from 5 pm, this special guided tour will be taking you through the fascinating (and often hilarious) world of animal courtship…so literally, how woo happens at the zoo.

Containing some significant adult content, the first thing you should know is bookings are only for lovers (and friends) aged 18 and over because you’ll be learning about everything you’ve wanted to know about courtship and procreation in the animal kingdom from (ahem) the big to the small.

An example? Male giraffes have to taste a lot of pee before they can do the deed. And that’s one of the romantic ‘dos’ (we can’t even imagine the ‘don’ts’).
