19 places to eat Canberra truffles this Winter

The 2017 Canberra Region Truffle Festival is upon us, promising to make our winter that little bit more delicious.
There are cute dogs, there are infused oils, there are market days and, of course, truffle hunts. But most importantly, there’s the food.
Across Canberra and the region, over 50 restaurants, cafes and bars will participate in The Truffle Festival by serving up their twist on Canberra’s ‘black gold’. Here’s where you can find the best truffle eats this Festival.
Truffle Festival degustation at Benchmark Wine Bar
Head to Benchmark for their weekly four-course truffle degustations. Yes, that’s four whole courses of truffle-y goodness with the option of matched wines.
$115 per person with wines or $89 per person without wines.

Truffle Festival Wine Dinner at The Loft at The Duxton
Enjoy a delicate five-course menu, all with matching wines featuring a few local favourites in The Loft’s cosy upstairs dining room.

Overlooking the beautiful gardens at University House, indulge in a four-course truffle long lunch matched with local Canberra and regional wines. The day even includes a truffle dog demonstration!

Only 10 minutes from Canberra, immerse yourself in a country experience and feast on a mid-winter’s night, celebrating the season that sets our region apart with firesides, flavours and friends at Poacher’s Pantry.
