Five Canberra bars for a non-alcoholic tipple

Posted on

You don’t need to drink to have fun—but if you want to hit the town where can you go for a good zero-proof cocktail?

That’s where we come in. Whether you’re sober, a designated driver or just want to avoid a hangover, here are five bars where you can ‘go out’, have fun and feel human the next day.

Award-winning barman Soumi Tannous from Bar Beruit is the man to see if you are gagging for a cocktail but trying to stay sober.

His mastery of flavour profiles and botanicals means he produces amazing alcohol-free concoctions, including a brilliant espresso martini and a mango mojito worth getting excited over. He’s also up for a challenge, so if you tell him what you like, he can whip up the alcohol-free version or as close to as you can get.

All spirit, no sacrifice. Capital Bar & Grill  use Lyre’s exquisite range of non-alcoholic spirits to make the impossible possible and bring you an amazing range of zero-proof cocktails—including an Espresso Martini and Amaretti Sour.

But if that’s no enough they also have non-alcoholic wine on the menu, perfect for a night out during silly season.

Featuring with a light and playful menu (which includes cocktails like the Kiss Me Ketut and Co-La-Di-Da), simply ask the friendly staff for a non-alcoholic version. Your tastebuds (and head the next day) will love you for it.
