Is the Canberra cold getting you down?

Heat up with some of the happiest hours around town.

Where we’re going, we don’t need full priced drinks! That’s right, everyone’s favourite 80’s themed karaoke bar has joined in on the happy hour specials from Monday to Saturday from 4 to 6 pm.

Their $5 beers or $10 Margarita Slushie or on tap Sex on the Beach cocktail will surely give you something to sing about.

Betti Bravo’s

Betti Bravo’s is a cacophony of coloured wood, palm prints and flamingos, and it brings the heat with their Taco Tuesdays.

Between 6 and 9 pm on Tuesdays, you can devour some delicious $5 tacos, plus sip some sweet as drink specials.

88mph’s sister sports bar is helping weary workers clock off with a 4 to 6 pm daily happy hour.

During this time you can kick back and watch a few games over a $6 Cricketers Arms Pale Ale or Lager, an $8 Asahi Super Dry of Asahi Black beer, and $10 wings for the ultimate in sports bar treats.

Grease Monkey

Looking for some liquid fuel to keep you going? You will be quite surprised to know that you don’t have to look much further than Grease Monkey – the old mechanic’s garage in Braddon that sells mouth-watering burgers and fried food.

From 4 – 6 pm Monday and Friday you can score $5 beers, wines and spirits, $10 cocktails, and $20 jugs, and all day on Sunday you can relax with $5 schooners or $8 pints. And that’s not at all! Proving themselves to be the kings of the jungle, you can score a free beverage with every burger purchase all day on Tuesdays.

Feeling the Canberra cold a bit too much recently? Inject some tropical vibes into your evening by heading down to Kokomo’s for their ‘Snappy Hour(s)’ From Monday to Thursday.

From 4.30 pm you can get yourself a $4.50 house spirit, schooner or house wine and at 5.30 those drinks jump up to $5.50. It’s a great way to have your very own staycation.

Wine lovers are well-aware of the boutique NewActon darling Parlour, but did you know they’re also serving up their own twist on happy hour?

Every day between 12 and 3 pm you can sip a house sparkling, red, or white wine for $2 with any lunch dish, or a house beer for $4.

And, on Friday afternoons between 3 and 7 pm, you can really start your weekend right with bottomless Bellini cocktails and a cheese platter or charcuterie board for $30.
