Capital Brewing Co. is hosting a birthday bash this weekend, and you’re invited to the party

They’re celebrating seven years at the centre of Canberra’s craft brew craze – so, of course, they’ve brewed a beer for the occasion.
Capital Brewing Co. is turning seven this Sunday (3 November) and they’re throwing an epic party for all the local legends who have supported the brewery.
Brewing a beer especially for the occasion, you’ll be able to try Marvin Berry, a new pastry sour that’s packed full of local blackberry, mulberry, and strawberries with a nice creamy purple colour.
“This is the most we have ever fruited a sour and the result is pretty amazing. Pouring a deep purple, you are smacked in the face with aromas of sweet blackberry pie backed up with mulberry and strawberries. We put a big dose of lactose in to keep the finished product nice and sweet to balance out the tart berries we threw in,” says Head Brewer, Wade Hurley.
The celebrations mix the new sour with a sweet musical lineup curated by local legend, Lucy Sugerman.
“As a born and raised Canberran and lover of local Australian music, nothing gives me greater joy than being involved in local gigs and platforming new artists,” she says.
“We’ve got an exciting range of genres and vibes on the line-up for the birthday – something for everyone and perfect for a fun Sunday afternoon into night at Capital Brewing Co. Big thanks to Capital for supporting local music and being the best.”
Headlined by Sydney band Jet City Sports Club and supported by a stacked list of local and interstate artists such as Stella Eve, The Buzzcuts, Groovy Daughter, JAYRAY, and JUST TNEEK, the vibes will be flowing long into the night.
With such a tasty lineup of artists, and more than 20 fresh brews to try (as well as plenty of options for the designated driver), you beer-ly don’t have an excuse not to be there.
Pop on down to get around the party which kicks off from 11:30am until late.
