Contentious Character is opening an ‘urban winery experience’ in Dairy Road

It’s one of Canberra’s favourite day trips – an escape to the country for a glass of something delicious and a meal at one of our most colourful wineries, Contentious Character.
But soon, we won’t have to drive all the way to Wamboin to experience that special Contentious hospitality as the winery is set to open a brand new venue in one of Canberra’s most exciting new precincts: Dairy Road.
While the opening date is yet to be announced, we’re able to reveal that the new venue will be an “urban winery experience” and offer an expansive menu, ranging from morning coffees and pastries to lunch and even after-work wines, seven days a week.

“We are thrilled to bring the Contentious Character experience to the city and proud to join the dynamic neighbourhood of Fyshwick’s Dairy Road Precinct,” says Ben Jarrett, Managing Director at Contentious Character.
“This venue combines the best of urban living with our passion for bringing people together with exceptional food and wine experiences.”

A taste of award-winning cool climate Canberra Region wines right here in the city? Make ours a double.
