Dîner en Blanc is back for 2022

Dry clean your white frock and dust off your best glassware, the world’s chicest picnic—Dîner en Blanc—is back. 

Australia’s most sophisticated celebration of food, friends and fine wine, Le Dîner en Blanc is coming back to Canberra on Saturday 26 November at a new secret location.

It’s been called the world’s chicest picnic, with guests invited to gather for an all-white picnic under the stars, bringing with them their own table, chairs and table setting.

It’s also one of the world’s most Instagrammable events—the start of dinner is marked by the waving of white cloth napkins and the lighting of 1500 sparklers. The event is also one of great mystery, with guests only finding out the location of their dinner on the morning of the event itself.

To be part of this unique night under the stars, people can register now.

For ticketed guests, a selection of French-inspired gourmet hampers is available for pre-order, which makes for a practical solution for catering for a group, however, if you’d prefer to cook, you’re kindly requested to aim towards a three-course picnic meal, preferably French inspired.

While bringing your own drinks is not allowed (alcoholic or not), a curated list of French champagnes and wines (as well as non-alcoholic drinks) are available for pre-order and will be waiting for you at the venue on the night of the event.

Although there will be no beverage purchases available on the night and there is no bar on-site, free water will be available at all times.

And—of course—to maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as staying true to tradition, guests adhere to the dress code: elegant and white only. Originality is encouraged as long as it is stylish and tasteful!
