Do you look in the fridge and despair at the thought of the same, plain…
Brie-ng along your eating pants for a night to remember on Saturday 13 November for a cheesy (in more ways than one) fondue party at Contentious Character winery.
While non-essential travel between NSW and the ACT isn’t on the menu yet (NSW Health continues to classify the ACT as a COVID-19 affected area), the current ACT COVID-19 Pathway Forward framework promises “less restrictive travel in our region” from 29 October, so fingers crossed you’ll be able to make the 29-minute drive to Wamboin, NSW for cheese, cheese and more cheese come Saturday 13 November.
That’s right—Wamboin’s own Contentious Character winery is holding a “stinky fondue” 70s dress-up party on Saturday 13 November, complete with a ’70s-style cocktail on arrival and the option of a three-hour drinks package.
Will you pair your fromage with some flares? Maybe you’ll tease your hair mental in preparation for some Emmental. Perhaps you feel cheetah print and cheddar just happen to go together?
Whatever your ’70s get-up, bubbly, melty fondue will be waiting for guests, complete with a crudité platter and a fruit platter for dessert. Wine tastings will also be available on the night, so you can party like it’s 1979.
Please note, ACT residents may not be able to leave the ACT on Saturday 13 November due to public health directives and HerCanberra takes no responsibility for any missed cheese opportunities.
