BentSpoke is hosting an epic street party for their 10th birthday – and you’re invited

It’s never fun for businesses when their street is shut down by roadworks.

But turning lemons into lemonade (or should we say hops into Crankshaft?) BentSpoke is using the road closures on Elouera Street in Braddon to throw one heck of a street party for their 10th birthday – and you’re invited.

On Thursday 6 June from 5 pm, BentSpoke will celebrate a decade as one of Australia’s most iconic breweries with an evening of ‘beers, burgers, BBQ and bands’. Could you think of anything better to do on a Thursday night? We cannot.

The evening will kick off with BBQ served fresh from the Big Box BBQ food truck (did someone say early knockoff?) and some special birthday BentSpoke brews, crafted especially for the celebration.

Of course, it’s not a party without some tunes and BentSpoke’s birthday will have them in spades with live music from local bands, singer-songwriters and DJs including Sophie Edwards and ARCHIE as the headliners with the festivities kicking on into the night.

For BentSpoke co-founders Richard Watkins and Tracy Margrain (pictured above), it’s all about giving back to the community that’s supported them across the last 10 years.

“Our 10th birthday is a celebration of the incredible journey we’ve been on since opening our doors in 2014,” says Richard. “We couldn’t have done it without the support of our community, and we’re excited to throw a party that reflects our gratitude and love for all things beer.”

“This street party is all about bringing people together to enjoy great beer, fantastic food, and awesome music,” adds Tracy. “It’s a chance for us to say thank you to everyone who has been part of our story over the past decade.”

Nothing like a Thursday night party to make you feel like it’s 2014 again…and that’s kind of the whole point. Happy Birthday, BentSpoke!
