I love my garden, I really do. The ‘but’ in that sentence just about shouts…
Whelp, here’s some epic foodie news for your Friday—Brodburger’s new location will open from 5.30 pm TONIGHT—and everyone’s invited.
Where is this new location, you ask? Woden! In the car park of Phillip’s Paul’s Centre just off of Hindmarsh Drive.
Serving all the classics, this new Brod will also be debuting some brand new burgers that truly mean you have can burgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
That’s right, get ready for breakfast, Brod-style.
“Yes, we’re opening for breakfast here!” says co-owner Joelle Brodbeck.
“We thought breakfast burgers were fitting for our newest location because we expect so many tradies and early morning risers to pass through the area.”
Three new brekky burgers will be making their debut from tomorrow morning, including The Don, which features hash brown, crispy bacon, fried egg, beef patty, mixed lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, swiss cheese, relish, mayo and tomato or barbeque sauce. Drool.
There will also be a pop-up cafe next door—Little Mez—which will offer customers the breakfast necessity of coffee, as well as light snacks and desserts.
While Brod has been popping up left right and centre over the past few years, the Phillip location is here to stay—having been chosen through a call-out on social media.
“The plan is to be here for the next five years at the very least,” says co-owner Sascha Brodbeck.
“It’s so nostalgic of being in our little red van by the lake. Only thanks to technology, this time customers won’t need to wait anywhere near as long as they can pre-order online and arrive almost exactly as their burgers are coming off the grill.”
“We asked our followers where they wanted us to open next and Woden was the clear standout,” adds co-owner Joelle Brodbeck.
“Hip Pocket approached us with an opportunity to open in their car park and we decided it was the perfect location, so Brod Woden it was!”
Southsiders will get to tuck into Brod on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 7.30 am – 3 pm for breakfast and lunch, and 5.30 pm – 9.30 pm for dinner, Saturdays from 9 am – 3.30 pm for breakfast and lunch, and 5.30 pm – 9.30 pm for dinner, and Sundays 9 am – 3.30 pm for breakfast and lunch.
While new Brod-spots often come with some sort of fun activation, COVID-restrictions mean that the Brod team have decided to pay the celebration forward to the Woden community.
“With COVID-19 restrictions in place, we’re holding off on our traditional free burger giveaway, but as soon as we can do something fun, we will!” says Sascha.
“For now, we will be donating $1 from every burger sold between today and Sunday to the Canberra Hospital Foundation.”
