Melbourne icon Chin Chin will deliver to Canberra for one day only

To celebrate the AFL and NRL Grand Finals, Melbourne icon Chin Chin and sister venue Hawker Hall will be delivering to Canberra for one day only.

For Canberra foodies, a visit to Melbourne’s Chin Chin is a must-do when popping down to VIC (you know, in that ‘before time’, when you could do such a thing) or up to Sydney.

Having expanded from their Flinders Street digs to a second venue in Richmond and then a Sydney outpost (where the delivery will come from), they’re now offering Canberrans a slice of the action for one day only—Saturday 24 October.

Offering a seriously decadent selection of favourites across these Asian-fusion offerings, the Grand Final packs offer morsels like pork and chive dumplings, butter chicken pies and crab fried rice (Chin Chin—$150 for two people) and Nyonya-style fried popcorn chicken, pork char sui steam buns and pork and chive wontons (Hawker Hall—$130 for two people).

All you have to do to enjoy them is select your pack(s), hit order before 12 pm on Wednesday 20 October, then wait for delivery on Saturday 24 October and then warm up the oven.

Each pack includes food for two people, a free beer each, chopsticks, cooking instructions and menus. There are also additional extras on each menu, in case you’re feeling extra excited.

For many Canberrans, it will be a bittersweet way to remember better times had in Melbourne, as well as a way to support Melbournian businesses from afar. Melbourne, we love you.
