Oktoberfest at the Harmonie German Club
Where else would you celebrate Oktoberfest than at the Harmonie German Club?
The club has been on a mission to showcase and celebrate German culture since the 1960s, but did you know that it was home to the original Oktoberfest in Canberra?
The event was established in 1963 by a group of German expatriates from Munich, and the club has hosted Oktoberfest every year since. And this year is even bigger.
Celebrating over 50 years of traditional Oktoberfest experience over two wunderbar days, you can expect authentic German bier and food, music, dancing, medieval combat, mechanical beer bottle and axe throwing and even a wurst eating competition. It kicks off from 4 pm on Friday 30 October, making a whole weekend of this special cultural celebration.
Friday 30 October until Saturday 31 October | Harmonie German Club, Narrabundah | Book tickets here.
