Posted on

A pop-up oyster bar from Merimbula Gourmet Oysters heads a stretchy-pants-required lineup at The Forage this Saturday 19 October.

If you’re an oyster aficionado there’s only one place you want to be this Saturday. Because in news just in, Merimbula Gourmet Oysters is heading to The Forage where they’ll be shucking Sydney Rock and Native Angasi Oysters at their pop-up oyster bar.

Oh yes indeedy. You can choose from Natural or three different toppings: Uni foam, Japanese nori salad, or Pickled cucumber and crème fraîche. Or just grab a plate of delicious fresh Australian Prawns!

Getting there + home

The Molonglo Group is providing two FREE bus services to The Forage: one from Kingston and one from NewActon. Book your tickets via theforage.com.au/free-bus.

Parking super-close to the event is limited, however, there is plenty of parking along Dairy Road and in Fyshwick. If you choose to drive, please be prepared to park and walk. You can also park at Kingston and take the beautiful walk or ride through the wetlands.

If you choose to bring your car to the actual precinct, you should expect delays. Organisers have implemented traffic management processes including more efficient traffic light phasing at the Dairy Road intersection, but with an event this size, it’s highly likely there will be delays. On your way out of the precinct, if you want to turn right onto Monaro Highway and there are delays, please consider going left instead and doing a loop at Ikea and coming back over the Monaro Highway.

UBER and Taxi are also great options.
