The stunning Pink Ink has reopened in Braddon in all new digs across the road from their original Lonsdale Street location.  The new store features beautiful murals, a dedicated space for shoes and accessories, and spacious change rooms.

Regulars will be pleased to know that while the address and the space has changed, Pink’s commitment to style and design in a unique and sophisticated space, and their exceptional service to their customers remains unchanged.

I caught up with Jane, Pink Ink’s owner, to discuss this evolution.

What lead to you relocating?

After 10 years in our original store, and with all the changes in the street, it seemed the right time to recreate a new experience for Pink and our clients. We had a vision for a new Pink and we wanted to bring it to life ! We also wanted to be the first retailer to transition to what will inevitably be ‘the future of Braddon’.

What is new for this new store? Exciting developments?  

Yes! Yes! So excited about our new space. We have secured some amazing new brands: one being McQ by Alexander McQueen. A coup for any store, and especially a coup for Canberra’s fashionistas. A wonderful label from one of the most coveted fashion houses in the world.

What are your predictions for AW13?

We predict a season of luxury, texture, jewel tones with metallic teases, and the magnificent contest of female form and sensual softness against fine tailoring and structured pieces.This is clearly evident in store.

Pink Ink stocks a vast range of pieces rather than committing to one particular look or style. The racks feature graphic prints, bejewelled coats in luxurious textures to beautiful silk dresses, pieces to lux up the every day wardrobe such as a stunning Anna thomas blazer, to stunning feature pieces such as a Hoss Intropia fur capelet.

What brands can people expect?

We exclusively represent some of Australia’s most coveted brands – including ELLERY, Kirrily Johnston, Romance Was Born as well International collections from Danish designer Malene Birger and Parisian, Jerome Dreyfussplus. Other labels include Megan Park, Sarah Pacini, Rebecca Vallance as well as soon McQ by McQueen! We have shoes from Pedro Garcia, HOSS and Beau Coops.

We stock a broad offering of sizes and shapes – from size 8 to size 16.

How do you choose pieces for each season?

When selecting pieces for the store, decisions are based on quality, design, and style.  We are very mindful of a Pink Ink customer’s style personality – glamorous, adventurous and individual, always playful and discerning!
