Say Happy Birthday to Brodburger with three hours of free burgers

On Saturday 30 March, one of Canberra’s most delicious institutions, Brodburger, is turning 10.
And nothing says party like three hours of free burgers. Yes, that’s right. Free Brod.
In addition to snagging yourself some delicious Brodburgers for free, visitors can enjoy live entertainment including bands, performers and DJs, lawn games, a photo booth, a huge scavenger hunt and much more at Brod’s Kingston Foreshore location.
For the iconic restaurant, it’s their way of saying thank you to the Canberra community for a decade of unwavering support.
“We wanted to throw a huge birthday celebration to thank the Canberra community because without them there would be no Brodburger!” says co-owner Joelle Bou-Jaude.
“They supported us from the very beginning when we were a little red caravan in Bowen Park. We remember families bringing their kids to the van. Now, those kids are no longer kids and they’re still coming to Brodburger, but with their friends instead!”

“We love our customers, they have been so loyal to us for the last 10 years and we want to thank them the best way we know how – with burgers!”
“They are the reason our business has been able to expand and flourish over the years. Their support has helped us overcome many challenges and get to where we are today,” adds Brodburger co-owner, Sascha Brodbeck.
It’s this same support that Brod will extend to the community at its birthday bash, with local suppliers, talent and community members helping the event to come together.
Along with burgers and entertainment, the event will also host an epic scavenger hunt with plenty of prizes and live roaming performances like acrobats and jugglers.
“Canberra Glassworks will also open to the public on the night while glass artist, Annette Blair creates two amazing glass Brodburgers!” adds Joelle.

When: Saturday 30 March. The scavenger hunt kicks off at 3 pm and finishes at 5 pm at the Glassworks. Three hours of free burgers start at 5.30 pm.
