Sweet tooth alert! There’s a Willy Wonka afternoon tea in Canberra

Get ready to indulge like Augustus Gloop—Space Kitchen has kicked off its Willy Wonka Afternoon Tea.

We’ve all spent our fair share of time staring at the cake cabinet of Woden’s Space Kitchen, salivating, as we had to make the tough decision to choose just one sweet treat. Well, despair no more.

The team at Space must have heard our prayers because they’ve created their own version of a high tea to indulge in. To celebrate winning Australia’s best patisserie, the team at Space Kitchen has worked as hard as Wonka himself to amaze us all.

So, what can you expect? Well, hold onto your (top) hats because for $45 you’ll be able to sample seven different desserts including a Turning Violet Blueberry Cheesecake, a Psychedelic Mushroom Strawberry Mousse and a Melba Peach custard. Just take our money already!

Oh, and some macarons, fairy floss and popping candy, of course. You weren’t planning on eating dinner, right?

This is all served alongside a hot drink of your choice from their extensive list or, if you want something with a bit more of a kick (candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker) for an extra $10 you’ll receive an alcoholic beverage on arrival.

There’s no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going but you can guarantee we will be booking into Space Kitchen this weekend.
