Taste Local at Canberra Centre this May
Posted on
May means savouring the best of local tastes as Canberra Centre showcases local producers and artists at their Taste Local Festival.
Would you like a side of fabulous local food and wine with your retail therapy? You’re in luck! During May, Canberra Centre is giving customers the opportunity to enjoy unique experiences of tasting adventures, masterclasses, live music and more at its Taste Local festival—a month-long celebration of local producers and talents.
“We are very excited to see the Taste Local Festival return to Canberra Centre this year,” said General Manager of Canberra Centre, Gary Stewart.
“The festival will give local producers and artists the opportunity to showcase their talents to the Canberra community in an intimate and personal way,”
Every Friday evening throughout the month of May, you can relax with a complimentary drink and nibbles in the cosy set-up while enjoying live music from local artists.

Meanwhile, a series of workshops run by winery and distillery professionals will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 7 May. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn about pairing wines with food, making crafted cocktails, and discover more about those local producers and talents.
Canberra Centre has also partnered with some of its retailers to allow them also to exhibit their products. Customers will get a taste of Gewürzhaus’s freshly made mulled wine, perfect for those Canberra winters. Haigh’s award-winning chocolates will be showcased at several workshops and Betty’s Burgers goodies will accompany the Underground Spirits masterclass.
