Southsiders, get your stretchy pants ready. Brodburger Tuggers is slinging 1500 free burgers at its opening party!
In news that will make southsiders weep with joy, Brodburger is due to open its doors in Tuggeranong’s South.Point Shopping Centre next Friday 1 March.
The happy occasion coincides with Brodburger’s 15th birthday and they’re throwing one heck of a shindig, with 1500 free burgers on offer from 5pm. That’s 100 burgers for every year in operation.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 1500 burgers is estimated to be about three hours worth, so plan and queue accordingly.

“We are beyond excited to bring Brodburger to Tuggeranong and be a part of the The Point precinct,” said Sascha Brodbeck, Co-owner of Brodburger.
“Fifteen years is a significant milestone, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than by opening up this new venue and sharing our love for burgers with the Canberra community.”
The festivities will feature live music and performances, ensuring that the opening event is not only a burger lover’s dream, but also a memorable experience for everyone attending.
Joelle Brodbeck, Co-owner of Brodburger, expressed her enthusiasm for the new venture, saying, “we are so grateful for the support we’ve received over the past 15 years and we can’t wait to create new memories with the community in this fantastic location and celebrate the best way we know how – with free burgers!”
From 5 pm to 8 pm on Frrday 1 March, Brod will be serving classics including the beef, chicken and vegetarian for free. The venue will then open in its entirety on Saturday 2 March from 11 am with a full menu. As usual, there will be some brand new menu items exclusive to Tuggeranong.
“Brod Tuggeranong is also a new concept for us, combining elements of all our Brods into one unique venue. We can’t wait for you to see it!” says Joelle.

Situated inside South.Point’s new dining precinct, The Point, the Brod team says they have some epic plans to bring even more evening excitement to the newly renovated courtyard.
“We’ll also be stocking up the beer taps to keep the whole courtyard flowing with brews, and we have a host of live music and DJs each week to create a great vibe that lingers well into the night,” says Sascha.
“We want it to be a place locals can come with friends and enjoy great food, drinks and ambience, without having to go all the way into the city. We’ll make sure we show a bunch of sport on the big screens and we’re even planning on hosting fun events like movie nights and mini festivals in the space.”
For Brodburger’s opening weekend, The Point will be hosting an array of kids’ activities around the playground including face painting, glitter tattoos and balloon modelling from 11am to 2pm on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 Marcg. DJ sets will begin from 7pm on Saturday and will last late into the evening.
“We are just as excited as the rest of the neighbourhood that Brodburger is opening at The Point. Our new dining and entertainment precinct is attracting interest from visitors across the city, and is set to get livelier now that Brod has arrived,” says Keith Woodman, Centre Manager at South.Point.
“The Point boasts two large screens, a playground, outdoor seating, home grown favourites food brands, and the popular virtual reality gaming and escape rooms, Metaphysica.”
