It seems that, regardless of your age or position, finding a mentor can be something…
It’s an event for local businesswomen, boss babes or everyday girls looking to shake up their routine.
Inspire by Canberra Outlet, in partnership with The CBR Woman, is a day of inspiration and insight, presented by a collection of Canberra bosses and business mavens.
After an incredibly successful inaugural event in 2019, Inspire is back to share insights, strategies, advice and guidance aimed at empowering other women in their business and/or career.
“We had big plans to host Inspire in 2020, but like all events, COVID restrictions put a hold on that. So, this year we wanted to bring the event back with a vengeance and there is no better more relevant person to headline than one of Australia’s most popular businesswomen Samantha Wills,” says Canberra Outlet Marketing Manager, Claire Read.
On Friday 5 March, Samantha will take to the stage alongside a host of local businesswoman to share her thoughts on business, life and the lessons she’s learnt along the way, as featured in her new brand-new book Of Gold & Dust.
“At 21 she created a jewellery empire that took the world by storm and since then has faced a haul of challenges and adversity and successes in business that we know Canberra women can learn so much from,” says Claire.
Speaking alongside Samantha are some incredibly talented locals, with sessions including tips on balancing mindset and mental health in a busy career from Lifestyle Psychology, the importance of branding from local agency Bandit Design, how fitness and food work together to build a happy and healthy body and mind, courtesy of dietician Georgia Houston and Personal Trainer Hannah Dhal, and a women in leadership Q+A discussion with local business powerhouse Renee Douros and other guest speakers.
“I believe it’s so important to never stop learning and what better way to learn than from those who have experienced?” says The CBR Woman’s Founder, Jaimee Wilson.
“The line-up for this year’s Inspire event is incredible. I am so excited to speak with the inspiring locals presenting alongside Samantha who has made global tracks in her business. It is a delight to be able to offer local businesswomen such a valuable event.”
It’s no coincidence that Inspire 2021 is being hosted in the lead up to International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
“This year’s theme is #choosetochallenge, to call out gender bias and inequality and seek out and celebrate women’s achievements,” says Claire.
“Through an event like Inspire, we hope to give women not just the tools they need to progress their business or career, but more importantly, the confidence.”
“Our goal is to provide a day where women leave feeling empowered to ask for that promotion, to start that businesses idea they’ve been sitting on for too long, to take the necessary leaps required to propel their business forward.”
