The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) is housed in the spiritual home of Australia’s democracy, Old Parliament House.
It celebrates the spirit of Australian democracy and the power of our voices within it.
Normally, MoAD offers a diverse range of hands-on educational and creative experiences for kids of all ages, however, in the era of COVID, they’ve created their very own free online, interactive experience!
On Air PlayUP is MoAD’s newest online offering, inspired by the onsite exhibition PlayUP. During the On Air PlayUP livestream, facilitators will take you step by step through a fun craft activity with a different theme each week inspired by the United Nations’ International Days and Weeks.
“As we are unable to welcome visitors to MoAD, we have moved several experiences online,” explains MoAD’s Melissa Holcroft.
“To keep in touch with families, we launched On Air PlayUP on MoAD’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Each week On Air PlayUP is accompanied by a Family Guide that includes several other fun activities and games for the whole family.”
