March is looking wine-derful with the return of Wine Machine
Posted on
It’s one of Australia’s premium bespoke food, wine and music festivals and it’s coming back to Canberra on 25 March. Here’s what you need to know about Wine Machine 2023.
You’ll be on cloud wine as a garden-party picnic by day becomes a fiesta at night, within the lush surrounds of Commonwealth Park. Drink in the atmosphere as the Hot Dub Time Machine, Lime Cordiale, Bliss n Eso, Vera Blue and so many more take to the stage for a full-bodied day to remember (or not).
If you haven’t already had the pleasure of attending a previous event, let us re-wine for you. Headlined by Sydney-born DJ Hot Dub Time Machine, Wine Machine first hit the Canberra scene in 2018 and fast become a favourite of local music and wine lovers.
If you’re not familiar with DJ Hot Dub, he showcases songs from every decade and genre of music—’60s rock, ‘70s disco, ‘80s cheese, ‘90s house, noughties electro and more—and winds and weaves it into one big music history lesson. Songs are played in chronological order—mixed live on turntables—and complemented with archival concert footage/music videos on massive screens.

Australia’s biggest drag superstars are also coming along on the day to bring a whole day’s worth of fierce drag madness, including some of the country’s best queer DJs, queens on stilts, a dolled-up drag brunch, interactive games, a jambo-rave and so much more queer performance art.
Tickets are on sale now (please note this is an 18+ event).
