Favourite colour?
Pink! But specifically dusty rose pink.
Favourite flower?
I love traditional and peony roses but I’ll always have a soft spot for daisies – they remind me of my mum.
Cats or dogs?
Cats, always.
Tea or coffee?
I’ve always been a coffee drinker and I always will be. From drinking about five super syrupy vanilla lattes a day in college to living off shots of espresso for six weeks in Europe, I’ve gone through almost every coffee era you can think of. At the moment? My go-to order is an almond latte or a long black, depending on my mood.
Morning or night?
I’m very much a morning person – as soon as the alarm goes off, I’m up and moving (much to my partner’s frustration). And if you ask me to do anything social past 8 pm, it’s not happening.

North side or south side?
I’m a southside girl all the way. I grew up in Richardson, went to school in Wanniassa and Woden and spent most of my teenager years in Tuggeranong.
Favourite season in Canberra?
I’m a warm weather girlie – to me the hotter the better – but autumn in Canberra will always be my favourite. It’s so beautiful, and I always love watching the leaves change.
What’s the last book you read?
I’m currently reading Women Don’t Owe You Pretty by Florence Given, but I recently finished The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (I know, I’m really behind on my TBR).
What’s your go-to comfort movie and/or TV show?
Oooh this is a hard one and it’s bit of a random mix! For movies, any of the early 2000’s Barbie movies (Barbie in the Nutcracker and Barbie in Swan Lake, specifically), and Pirates Of The Caribbean because it reminds me of some of my favourite childhood memories with my Pop and cousins. I also love Breakfast at Tiffanies, but I usually watch that one when I need a good cry (it’s the cat scene, it gets me every time).
For TV shows, I know every episode of M.A.S.H and Buffy The Vampire Slayer by heart. I usually binge watch both of them at least once a year.
If you were on death row, what would your last meal be?
Can I have multiple courses? A big bowl of pasta (probably spaghetti because I’m basic), followed by a very big slice of chocolate mud cake, with a thick layer of chocolate icing and some crème fraîche on the side. Both need to be packed full of gluten – because if I’m going, I’m going out with a bang.

Go to Canberra restaurant recommendation?
I always suggest Bar Beirut. It has amazing food, killer cocktails and a fantastic vibe.
What’s your irrational fear?
Crabs give me the major ick. It’s the pincers, the way they walk and their shifty eyes…
If you want to get a little more serious, being buried alive. But is that irrational?
If you could invite anyone to dinner, dead or alive, who would you invite?
My dad – he passed away when I was a baby and I would love to sit down and get to know who he was.
What’s the most random thing you’ve done for work?
I did Loquita’s Hot Shot for an Instagram Reel! It contains 1800 coconut tequila that has been infused with Carolina Reaper chillies “for somewhere between 24 and 48 hours” and is so spicy, you must sign a waiver before ordering. Honestly? It wasn’t that bad.

What’s your Canberra hidden gem?
This is hard! Can I say the people? We always talk about the food and institutions, but it’s the community that makes Canberra so great.
