In the last of this series, Laura Peppas shares her wedding experience, with some big-day advice……
If you and your newly minted husband or wife are a couple of thrill seekers keen to leave the luxurious pampering behind and get down and dirty on your honeymoon…
Here are a few honeymoon destinations that could be absolutely perfect for you.
Looking for something a little wilder when it comes to your honeymoon? Kenya (pictured) might just be the place for you! Located in East Africa along the coastline, Kenya has access to it all from wild African savannahs, lakelands, mountain highlands and the ocean. The capital of Nairobi is exciting enough when it comes to getting out and about, but if you really crave the action then you will have to get out of the city.
Head into the Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Park on a tour and find yourself getting up close and personal with some of the most amazing animals in the world, such as lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas and wildebeests. For those wanting to get off the jeep and use their legs you can take a hike up Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa after Kilimanjaro, and you can even try some extreme rock climbing at Hell’s Gate National Park.
Getting to Kenya might be a bit more of the expensive side, especially from Australia, so an African holiday will definitely work for those thrill-seekers with a bit more cash to spend, but if you want some more information on places to stay and things to do while on your honeymoon check out Kenya Honeymoons or Expert Africa for more.
Peru, South America
If you really want to experience and exciting and intriguing new place for your honeymoon than a trip to Peru might be for you. Peru is an absolutely beautiful country steeped in rich culture, tradition and adventure. The country encompasses many different exciting terrains that bring about a whole new sense of adventure for you and your loved one, including the Amazon Jungle, dunes and dunes of sand and desert and dizzingly high altitudes.
Peru was one of the most amazing places I have ever visited and there is so much to do here. If you are feeling like getting out there and making a triumph of your honeymoon you opt to walk the four-day trek to the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu (It’s way better than taking the train!) or if you want to try some action you can head to the desert oasis town of Paracas and try your hand at sandboarding and racing over the dunes on a dune buggy. You can get high in the sky by flying over the ancient Nazca Lines or try your hand at piranha fishing in the Amazon.
The people of Peru will definitely know how to take care of you, and with a pretty easy flight from Australia it won’t completely break the bank to honeymoon here. If you want to have a look at some more options and get some more information, you can check out Peru Honeymoon Tours for a little bit more.

With many excursions and activities available here including white-water rafting, parasailing, bungee jumping, jet-boating and trekking, you will be sure to find just the adrenaline pumping activity you and your new spouse will be looking for.

If you are a little more strapped for cash and need to stay in country than the Western Australian town of Broome might just be the perfect place for those couples seeking a bit more adventure and excitement. Broome is a little beach resort town on the western Kimberley region that sits along the Indian Ocean and features the twenty two kilometre white sand Cable Beach.
Broome is a luxurious jumping off point for thrill seekers because there are tons of adventurous activities to take part in. You can swim with whale sharks, visit a crocodile park, dive for pearls, take four wheel drive tours, drive cattle like an outback rancher and even ride camels along Cable Beach. And when all has been said and done, returning back to your romantic accommodation leaves you with plenty of time to take in one of Western Australia’s most beautiful sunsets.
