Real wedding: Scott and Hannah
Posted on
The Fitters Workshop in Kingston provided a cool and contemporary backdrop for Hannah and Scott’s wedding ceremony, which was followed by a relaxed reception at Parlour wine bar. Hannah takes us through the day…
Getting ready
We got ready at home and at Hotel Hotel in New Acton.
The dress
My dress was the Harper in bone with an ivory lace overlay by Anna Campbell. I had always loved Anna Campbell’s designs and had been eyeing it off before we even started planning the wedding so it was just meant to be!

The ceremony
We chose Fitters Workshop as we wanted an indoor location due to Canberra’s weather being so unpredictable, and we just loved the space and how it could be styled however we liked.

I am so glad we spent money on having the venue styled by Laurel & Lace as we knew it would look incredible and would take away the stress of having to source everything ourselves.

We knew we wanted photos inside fitters workshop and around the building once everyone had left as we loved the urban feel.

The reception
We chose Parlour for the reception as we wanted to have a relaxed wedding where people could enjoy cocktails and great food without being stuck at a table all night.

It was so surreal and calm for us both. The food and drinks were incredible, the good thing about Parlour is that you don’t need to add much to the styling as it’s such a nice venue. The reception for us just felt like a night out with all our friends and family in the one spot relaxing and having a great time.

The day goes so fast and you’re so busy trying to talk with everyone, I think it’s important to find moments to just have a time out with each other and take it all in.
