A fabulous Christmas without the fuss? Luxe & Beau can help.

Posted on

As the holiday season quickly approaches, so does the urge to indulge ourselves, our families and friends.

That’s where Luxe & Beau comes in, bringing Canberrans exquisite table linen, homewares, body products, and more. The fabric designs by Luxe & Beau are created in-house and inspired by the timeless beauty of a country lifestyle.

Established in 2015, the brand has become renowned for its quality and fresh designs. Founder and owner Georgie Beaumont refuses to compromise on style, quality or design when creating her stunning collections and after nine years, the brand continues to grow.

The first Luxe & Beau showroom opened earlier this year after Georgie recognised the need for a Canberra flagship store. Luxe & Beau is also now stocked in 100 stores nationally as well as having an online website where products can be delivered to your doorstep or offers a click-and-collect option for her Canberra customers.

Always passionate about incorporating creativity and beauty into everyday life, the bricks-and-mortar store is a wonderful place for clients to view the collections and be inspired by the many displays. As Christmas quickly approaches, the new location in Fyshwick seems to be the place to go for people searching for inspiration to invigorate their interiors and prepare for the festive season ahead.

Stocking everything from table linen, cushions, silk scarves, their very popular sleepwear range, design books, candles, designer pieces, and more, the story of Luxe and Beau is one of individual expression infused with laid-back Australian style.

“As a child, I used to create intricate patterns – I don’t know where it came from, but I knew I wanted to be a fabric designer when I grew up. The thing I love most is the creativity that comes with combining all the different designs in creative ways. Combining a floral, a stripe with a leopard print. It’s the unexpected clash that I love,” says Georgie.

“Australians have a unique style in fashion, food and interiors and I love the way our style is evolving. We adore stylish, beautiful things but we also love simplicity and freshness and that’s what I enjoy giving my customers,” says Georgie. “It’s not all about glittery and fussy stuff that is often a temporary purchase. There is a focus on buying things that we will use for the long term. I love helping people to build a collection of beautiful pieces they can use season after season.”

Luxe & Beau can be used when people go all out during the festive season when hosting a soirée or a Christmas lunch but can easily be adapted to a beautiful, simple, family dinner.

“I don’t like things that are only used one day a year and then they sit in a cupboard for the rest of the year. With the recognition that we need to turn from fast and disposable fashion, Australians are looking for quality and longevity in their purchases. We’ve done a lot of green and white this year – the green floral and green striped table linen can be  used  for any lunch or dinner, but it can also look very Christmassy.”

For anyone stuck for gift ideas, don’t worry – while Luxe & Beau is home to a stunning range of products, Georgie predicts that the 2023 holiday period will have a strong focus on creating amazing memories for those close to us.

“People aren’t spending as much on gifts this year,” she says. “People seem to be thinking: we have all the things that we need, let’s just make the day as beautiful as we can. People are leaning more towards creating memories with their family and creating moments that their children will remember.”

Wanting to help her customers create a fabulous Christmas Day that everyone will remember, Georgie notes that you don’t have to fuss with time-consuming recipes on the day. Focusing on creating a beautiful atmosphere is key. Keep the food simple with fresh, quality ingredients and decorate your table beautifully. Then you can sit back and enjoy the day. Isn’t that what we all want?

In the lead-up to Christmas Day, Georgie will be hosting styling services by appointment so you can learn how to do everything for yourself – from creating a beautiful tablescape to decorating and hosting.

Located conveniently in Fyshwick with easy parking in front (so there’s no need to step foot in a shopping centre during the mad Christmas shopping rush), popping in to experience the Luxe and Beau lifestyle might just be the perfect Christmas gift to yourself – and to your family when you host a beautiful event.

“It’s about creating that feeling of Christmas, family, and fun and doing it in a way that’s colourful, beautiful and stylish and can be enjoyed for years to come.”

Georgie will also be contributing to HerCanberra’s style section over the coming months.
