Six warm fragrance picks for stormy winter days. Scent has a way of stirring emotions…
Honest to a fault and real beyond belief, Browlab have secured themselves a spot at Canberra’s cool table with their down to earth ethos.
Since their launch almost two years ago, Browlab‘s small but fierce team have found popularity with women who can relate to them, laugh with them and feel comfortable with their ‘do you’ mentality.
For their latest adventure, the lab ladies have sought out like-minded individuals to inspire, educate and reinvigorate the burgeoning start-up scene in Canberra. A unique concept in business and beauty, Browlab are about to celebrate their first birthday in Braddon.
Festivities kicked off last weekend at Browlab’s Beauty, Boss Life and Brunch event with Amy Nerio of Nerio Communications chatting with Sophie Cachia of The Young Mummy. The perfect space for celebrations and inspiration, Browlab’s chic loft has played host to Sheri Vegas, Becca Australia’s Burton Yuen and now irreverent funny mummy and incredible blogger boss Sophie.
Sianne Fitzsimons, co-owner of Browlab, gave us a behind the scenes wrap of Sunday’s event.
“Selling out in just two days, our Beauty, Boss Life and Brunch featured edible flora and handmade goodies from Woodbrook plus florals flowing across the raw timber trestles compliments of Moxom & Whitney,” she explains. “Bespoke brunch boxes, custom blend tea, Rose Water Fluffë fairy floss and goodie bags greeted our 40+ attendees as they took their seats.”
“With over 130K followers on Instagram, 70k+ on Facebook and anywhere between 20 to 200k snappers spying her content on any given day on Snapchat, Sophie really has amassed a cult following from young girls, mums of all ages and I’m sure a few men along the way,” says Sianne.
“This is why we’ve been following Sophie for some time – we love her absolute honesty, and irreverent often awkward if not hilarious open book attitude. It makes for some compelling viewing.”
The team are gearing up for a packed series of events in their loft, with the next being a workshop with makeup maven Penny Antuar.
Sianne assures us it’s just the beginning of things to come.
“We knew Sophie would be perfect to kick off our incredible event series where we will be inviting beauty insiders, business boss babes and everything in between to speak at the lab.”
“We are creating a new concept in beauty that we are excited to roll out and something that Canberra has never seen before, we will also be hosting pop-ups interstate, starting with Muse Clinic in Sydney on Saturday 20 August, so Sydney babes get excited.”
Make sure you’re the first to know about the next Browlab event and keep up to date with the lab ladies via their Instagram.
