Canberra Centre’s homeware haven: What to know before you go
Posted on
As you may have heard Canberra Centre’s Monaro Mall Lifestyle Precinct is opening soon – this Thursday 2 November to be exact.
Focused on design, homewares and all things luxe, it will be accessible by the escalators across from L’Occitane in the Centre’s Beauty Precinct, further cementing its place as the home of premium brands.
With 16 stores to explore, we can’t wait to see the space when it opens later this week—with Christmas shopping just around the corner, here’s what to look forward to.
The Cool Hunter Pop Up
As Emma Macdonald revealed last month, The Cool Hunter’s pop up store, will stock a range of carefully curated and unspeakably cool art, homewares, stationery, accessories, perfumes, furniture, bags, sunglasses and watches.
With over 1.8 million readers generating over 2.1 million monthly page views, The Cool Hunter has an ever-growing subscriber list which reads like a who’s who of the global media, communications, fashion, design, architecture and lifestyle industries. This, in turn, makes an appearance in The Cool Hunter a truly big deal.
But hurry. The pop up will only be sticking around for six months.
Design Canberra’s HOME:MADE
As part of Canberra’s annual design festival, DESIGN CANBERRA, a special pop up space in Canberra Centre will play host to objects from artists, makers and creators from across Australia from 5-26 November.
Presented by Craft ACT, HOME:MADE will feature new lighting, furniture and homewares from some of Australia’s most exciting emerging designers.
A place to find a truly unique piece or gift.
La Creuset
The cookware of chefs, celebrity cooks and Instagram worthy kitchens, La Creuset’s famous style has been copied many times over but they are still the original and the best.
La Creuset will be the to head for the perfect housewarming or wedding present that will last a lifetime, and with everything from silicon tools to mini classic La Creuset pots, there’s something for every budget.
For those seeking to really add elegance and lasting style to their kitchen, look no further. The brand was established in 1925 and hasn’t been out of style since.
We’ll take one of everything, thanks.

Founded as a way for international designers to be presented in a curated manner, Husk’s fashion offerings are complemented by their selection of home wares, organic herbal tea and sensory care products.
Haigh’s Chocolates
Founded in 1915, this Adelaide based chocolatier has a cult following and, let’s be honest, Haigh’s frogs were the best thing that could come out of a suitcase after a family member or friend’s trip away.
Now Haigh’s selection of dark, milk and white chocolates with their rainbow of flavours and formats (bars, blocks, individual chocolates, frogs, we could go on…) will be yours to gift, indulge in and buy in bulk for the holiday season!
Arnold and Co
Adding to the luxe nature of the new level is Arnold and Co Jewellers, which will also serve as the go-to for gifts of the, shall we say, more serious variety.
With exquisite collections of coloured stones, custom designs available and—yes—diamond rings, Arnold and Co will bring their unique sparkle to the precinct.
Gewürzhaus
As a boutique that focuses on herbs and spices, you can bet your bottom dollar that Gewurzhaus will be popular in these warmer months.

The Pen Boutique know their stuff when it comes to scribbling and can offer shoppers a range of pens perfect for gifts or penning that award winning novel with brands like LAMY, Waterford, Cartier and all the inks, cartridges, pencils and leather accessories you’ll ever need.
La Nereides
Quirky, delicate and French made, three elements that guarantee La Nereides jewellery will make the perfect gift or addition to a holiday season outfit.
Established in Paris in 1980, La Nereides nature inspired collections are colourful, bold and whimsical at the same time.
Nespresso
Caffeine addicts unite! With a European fit-out that’s slicker than any coffee machine store deserves to be, Nespresso will be moving up a level, literally, to the homewares precinct.
The perfect gift for the piccolo perfectionist who is always dashing out the door, Nespresso will also be continuing their famous in-store customer service (did someone say free samples?).
