Clear Complexions becomes a national Artisan in skin aesthetics

Posted on

Canberra women in the know have been trusting their complexions to Suzie Hoitink for the past 15 years.

Now the Clear Complexions brand we have grown to love has joined ASX-listed company Vita Group and has rebranded under the name Artisan Aesthetic Clinics.

The decision to expand into the new company was a no-brainer for Suzie, whose dedication and focus to the company has seen it grow from one clinic in Bruce in 2005, to three in Canberra and three in Sydney.

The new brand will encompass another four Brisbane clinics and is aiming to establish between 70-90 new clinics nationwide over the next five years. It’s exactly the sort of national reach Suzie dreamed of when she first began establishing herself as a clinical pioneer in the skincare field.

Susie Hoitink, founder of Clear Complexions, now Artisan Aesthetics Clinics.

“A few years ago, my husband and I were looking for ways we could expand Clear Complexions to help more clients realise their skin goals. We knew the best way to do this would be to find a strong partner. As fate would have it, around this time we were introduced to Maxine Horne, CEO of ASX-listed retailer Vita Group.”

Vita Group operates across the non-invasive medical aesthetics sector, the activewear market with its own men’s athletic wear brand, SQDAthletica; and the technology industry where it runs more than 100 Telstra retail stores and business centres. It also operates in the technology accessories sector under the brand Sprout.

For those who have been relying on Suzie and her team of trained nurses and staff to reveal their best skin to the world, fear not. The rebrand means business as usual across the Canberra clinics “with the same friendly faces that our clients know and love”.

But the upsides are many: clients will benefit from greater access to technology and treatments, a new clinic system that will add value to the client experience including through online bookings, and access to the collective wisdom of Artisan’s Medical Board, which includes highly qualified doctors and nurses, who are setting the standard for safety in the industry.

Artisan Aesthetics has undergone a rebrand and refresh.

According to Suzie “while it is sad to say goodbye to where we started…I really love what the Artisan name stands for. An Artisan is a master of their craft, a perfectionist focused on delivering the very best outcome. It’s a name that perfectly sums up everything we aspire to do for each and every one of our clients – helping them to look and feel their confident best through high-quality treatments, delivered by industry leading experts.”

“Vita is a company that started back in 1995 as a small business with one store and over the years has grown into what it is today. I love that the founder is female like myself and today she is the CEO. I also love that Vita is quite different from other large corporates. Maxine often refers to Vita as a ‘corporate entrepreneur’ and I think that’s a really great way of describing the group. Yes, they know how to deliver scale and drive profitability, but they do that without losing that ‘small business’, ‘family owned’ mindset.’’

As for Suzie, the change means she will be moving into an ambassadorial role for Artisan Aesthetic Clinics, helping to promote and reinforce the brand’s position as a premium, quality-focused leader within this exciting industry.

“I’ll also continue to treat clients in our Canberra clinics, which is something I feel very passionate about. I never want to lose touch with why I entered this industry and established Clear Complexions – to help clients through beautiful, healthy skin.”

She is also fundamentally committed to Canberra.

“Yes, Alex and I will absolutely be staying in Canberra. We have two daughters and both of us have our families here and love being a part of this community. I also have 15 years of lovely clients to care for!”
