‘Reduce, reuse, and recycle’ is a motto that encapsulates Goodbyes, a thrift store that’s located in the heart of Canberra, on Lonsdale Street.
With over 180,000 pieces of clothing recycled annually over the last nine years, they are definitely contributing to helping reduce clothing waste, one day at a time. You can find plenty of preloved quality clothing in the store, along with lots of great basics, vintage pieces and worldwide designers.
Valuing individuality, connection and longevity, their pieces prove just how important community can be and how valuable it can be in creating something bigger than itself. Without the community recycling their pieces, the store wouldn’t be able to continue the cycle, with many donators also being consumers!
