Artisan’s phone ringing hot with pent-up desire for firmer, tighter skin

Posted on

It’s no wonder that after another period of enforced working from home due to lockdown, some of us have had to confront long periods of staring at ourselves on the screen via Zoom and team meets.

And is it possible another chin has arrived on the scene?

Artisan Aesthetic Clinics has had its phone ring off the hook since appointments resumed late last week, and one of the most popular treatment options being discussed is high-intensity frequency ultrasound (HIFU) which is the most effective non-surgical treatment to firm up jowls and double chins.

Jessica Haylan, the Clinic Development Manager at the Woden clinic said in five years of working for Artisan, she had never known of such high demand.

“I guess a lot of us are coming out of lockdown and want to deal with some of the issues we have been confronting while we spend long hours looking at ourselves on our computer screens,” she said.

“Maybe there is some pigmentation we want dealt with or anti-wrinkle injections or some skin tightening, particularly around the jowls.”

The Artisan nurses are working hard to accommodate as many clients as they can in the lead-up to Christmas and Jessica said there was definitely an “air of excitement” as people came in for their appointment.

One of the most popular treatments is HIFU, which allows clients to walk out with no visible sign of treatment and some immediate improvement visible in tone and texture of skin.

The treatment uses ultrasound energy to tighten and lift skin. HIFU precisely targets multiple deeper layers of the skin causing new collagen stimulation and elastin production.

Think of it like a pair of jeans. The more you wear them, the more they stretch and sag on you but if you put them in the wash, the heat generated causes them to shrink and tighten back to their original shape. HIFU works on your skin the same way.

Artisan uses the Ultraformer III treatment which is ideal for reducing the appearance of a double chin, improving ‘turkey neck’ and providing a non-invasive facelift.

The Ultraformer III can also treat sagging skin under the arms, love handles, back and thighs.

One of the reasons the Ultraformer III treatment is in such high demand is because it causes minimal discomfort and is tolerable with no need for anaesthetic.

Because there is little to no downtime and no special care needed after the HIFU treatment most clients return to their regular activities immediately.

Jessica said the treatment was most requested in dealing with chin slackness which becomes very apparent when people are spending long hours staring into their screens. “Definitely it is something we are getting many questions about.”

Results are visible immediately post-treatment. Facial contours and fine lines show further improvement at eight weeks and peak results at 12 weeks with additional firming throughout the subsequent 12 months.

Artisan is offering a 20 per cent discount on Ultraformer III treatments until 23 December.
