You won’t want to wait til Anzac Day to turn on these heaters

Posted on

As the temperatures start to drop, there’s always that unspoken rule in Canberra: you’re not allowed to turn on your heater until Anzac Day.

It’s the sort of rule that some take as seriously as legislation, shivering their way through until April 25 every year without daring to touch the on button.

But if you had a beautiful new fireplace in your home, chances are you’d be looking for any excuse at all to turn it on. Burning Log are Canberra’s fireplace experts, and they stock a wide range of fireplace options for different budgets.

“If you’re looking to buy a fireplace, we recommend visiting us in-store so you can speak to an expert and make sure you choose the right one for you and for your home,” says Jessica Fakhri from Burning Log.

In the market for a fireplace? Here’s some inspiration, all available from Burning Log:

Jetmaster Heat & Glo Mezzo Gas Fireplace Series

Jessica says this is one of the most popular inbuilt gas fireplaces, and it’s no wonder. The fireplace’s luxurious, modern design is the sort of thing that would make any living room or bedroom look utterly glam.

Think: flames spread across a bed of crushed glass, illuminated by LED under lighting, and you can control it all via remote control. It comes in three different sizes, with a choice between two trim options. And if you happen to have the perfect spot for a double-sided fireplace, you can buy it in a double-sided option.

Kemlan Celestial 900 Freestanding Wood Burning Fireplace

Another sleek option, these wood-burning fireplaces are all made in Australia. As well as looking good, the Celestial Freestander has an ultra-low emission rate, and will heat an area up to 300sqm. You can get this one as either a freestanding or wall insert option.

EcoSmart Flex Range

This range of captivating fire features is not only one of the most customisable and versatile ranges on the market, they’re also eco-friendly with no mess. No matter your space, there’s an EcoSmart Flex option that’ll suit your space.

Choose from a range of size and finish options, either as a wall feature or an island or table insert, and they can be single or double-sided.

The Bordelet range

For some serious wow factor in woodfire heating, check out the Bordelet range of suspended and centrepiece fireplaces.

There’s nothing quite as dramatic as a suspended fireplace in the centre of your room, and these masterpieces are handmade in limited quantities in the south of France from 4mm thick steel. Choose from a 180 degree or 360-degree viewing option.
