An ‘Australia first’ experience at Canberra Centre

Posted on

Meditation, yoga and nutrition classes aren’t things you’d usually expect to see in a shopping environment, but that’s about to change with the launch of Eden at Canberra Centre.

With in-centre activations and a series of masterclasses hosted by a high profile line-up of Australia’s leading Health and Wellness experts, Eden is described as an “Australian First” health and wellness experience.

Canberra Centre’s Centre Manager Amanda Paradiso says the Eden experience will be something visitors will have never encountered in a shopping centre environment before.

“It’s a sanctuary where people can replenish, revitalise and regain their optimal self. We want our visitors to feel a sense of belonging and nourishment,” Amanda says.

“We’re also bringing some of the biggest influencers in health and wellness to Canberra to share their wisdom and tips for a creative and centred life.”

Wellness advocate and founder of popular digital publication Sporteluxe.com Bianca Cheah leads the Centre’s expert line up as the official face of Eden.

As a mindfulness expert, Bianca will share her health philosophy and tips on staying fit, healthy and stylish whilst constantly on the go in her Wellness and Wellbeing Masterclass on October 1.

“I am so excited to be involved in Eden – I truly believe in what the experience is trying to achieve. It gives people a reminder to stop and rejuvenate themselves,” says Bianca.

“Eden creates an opportunity for visitors to be present. When I say present, I mean wholly in the moment. It’s paying attention to whatever you are doing and not thinking about anything else, focusing your awareness on the present. This will allow people to focus on one single thing rather than many things. It stops you from being too busy. ”

The Eden Masterclass series will also include founder of the luxurious Maison Balzac candles, Elise Pioch, who will be providing guidance on the art of candle making. Customers will be able to experience the unique Eden scent that Elise has created, and hand pour their own candle to take home.

Paper engineer, artist and educator Benja Harney of Paperform will also showcase his knowledge and skills as he shares the secret to creating gorgeous paper blooms, while Vedic Mediation Master teacher Gary Gorrow will provide a fascinating insight into mediation and mindfulness, whilst teaching a series of simple techniques that can be utilised in everyday life.
