Beauty + wellbeing front and centre at Marketplace Gungahlin this autumn

We’ve known for a while that Marketplace Gungahlin is one of Canberra’s most exciting emerging beauty precincts.

Whether you’re browsing Canberra’s biggest Chemist Warehouse and Ultra Beauty in the new Level Up area, finding cute beauty tools in Miniso, taking a class at Studio Pilates or making an appointment at one of the many salons, Canberra’s north has had a glow up.

So it’s no surprise that Marketplace’s newest event series is all about pampering and wellness.

Featuring expert speakers and some sneaky freebies, all events will take place outside Daily Market Grocer, be completely free to attend and have something for everyone.

This Saturday 11 May at 11 am, get to know your perfect haircut when the talented team from Just Cuts. They’ll be guiding you through the process of choosing the right haircut (at a great price) for every age, gender and style.

Then, on Saturday 18 May at 11 am, it’s time to tone when Tammy-Jo from Studio Pilates takes to the floor to give you the lowdown on the myriad benefits of Pilates. From building core and pelvic floor strength to addressing back pain concerns and getting started as a newbie, Tammy Jo will be able to answer all your Pilates questions.

Love skin? On Saturday 24 May at 11 am, the knowledgeable team at Skin Balance will be on hand to give a skin masterclass so you can maintain hydration, radiance and health through winter, with one lucky participant gifted a complimentary face mask.

Have little ones in tow? Make sure to swing by the Kids Zone near Big W for free balloon twisting every Saturday and complimentary face painting every Sunday from 11 am until 2 pm.
