Have you ever been asked “If you were stranded on a desert island, what three…
For Street Stylin’ this week we decided to head to Floriade, the home of glorious Spring colour – in both flowers and fashion.
‘This is my favourite skirt that I found on E-Bay because I love finding things that people are giving away and the trash and treasure kind of style. I like to find things that people don’t have and its one of a kind. Op-shops are my favourite and I like going to stores like Cream (they sell vintage clothing) – things that have been brought back to a new condition.”
“I like to wear cotton clothes and natural fabrics, anything with a nice cut. I wanted to blend in with the flowers so I wore a floral print. I like cue a lot, and a like Zara sometimes. I like cue all the time because they have simple clothes with a very nice fabric and a nice cut – that’s a sure winner for me all the time.”
“I chose this dress because it was different. Because I’m little I find it hard to find things that fit but I just chose it because it was a bit different. I didn’t think I would see anyone else wearing it – its nice to be a bit individual and I just loved the pattern. I’m looking forward to not wearing – layer, layer, layer, layer – I can’t stand winter!”
“I guess I chose the dress because of the colour – the orange and spring colours seem to be popular this year. Its nice and light and very comfortable – and being older I need to be a bit more covered up.”
“I think the flowers were a bit of inspiration – something fun and happy for Floraide! Its something I put together with a few discount pieces and some things I bought at markets when I was away at a festival. I bit of online – I love buying from little Australian designers that I haven’t heard of. I like to buy something special from the markets and the basics from the local shops.”
“I chose my outfit for the tulips – for the colour. I’m wearing a Michael Kors dress and Chanel accessories. Sun was my main concern and I love the red hat. I normally like to shop in Sydney, at Bondi and I also love the Canberra Centre.”
