Tacos and dessert grazing tables in an igloo? Shut up and take our money.

In some very exciting foodie news, Atomic Catering has brought back their private dining igloos just in time for Enlighten Festival.

Located along the path between Questacon and the National Library of Australia (prime Enlighten real estate) Firefly Lane’s igloos not only light up, but seat up to eight people and give you the opportunity to experience dinner or dessert in a truly unique (and private) environment.

Taking place across the two weekends of Enlighten (3–4 March and 10–11 March), tickets are now live to book your igloo. But first, you’ll need to make the hard choice between sweet and savoury.

The former will see you and seven friends served a feast of tacos with all the trimmings (think: pulled pork, roast chicken and grilled prawns with an array of salsas and sauces, tortillas and sides) and two jugs of mojitos (olé!) to share, after which you’ll get to swing past Firefly Lane’s ice cream van (hello!) to grab some dessert on the go as you head off to explore the Illuminations.

Or perhaps a post-Illuminations indulgence is more your speed? If so, book an igloo for Firefly Lane’s 8.30 pm dessert offering.

We’re talking a decadent dessert grazing platter that includes waffles, strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate dipping sauce, donuts, petit fours, meringues, cookies….we could go on but we’re getting hungry. You even get ice cream from the ice cream truck on departure too.  All of this is topped off with two bottles of sparkling rosé from Brindabella Hills Winery.

There’s no hurry to eat though—whether you choose sweet or savoury, you’ll have 1.5 hours to enjoy your private dining experience. The only hurry is to book your igloo before they sell out.
