Wildflour set to bloom longer (and in Weston)
Posted on
Wildflour is set to bloom longer (seven days a week) in Fyshwick and will open a Weston outlet later this year.
If you are partial to a buttery croissant, a flaky sausage roll or a baguette of extraordinary quality, then it is time to celebrate.
We have two bits of good foodie news for you. Wildflour’s flagship Fyshwick bakery is now open seven days a week with a new autumn menu. AND. Wildflour is opening an offshoot in Weston in the near future.
Frankly, with the success of the Fyshwick café, and the popularity of the recently-opened Kingston store, it’s no surprise Wildflour is expanding.

The Fyshwick flagship is the place to head if you want the full gamut of Wildflour tastes and textures. For it is here that master baker Remy Romaine keeps the ovens cranking out a steady stream of loves and pastries to feed the masses.

But the bakery also does a roaring trade in sit-down meals, and from this weekend, the new autumn menu includes such delights as Bircher Muesli, featuring coconut and soy milk-soaked oats with rhubarb and strawberry yoghurt topped with seasonal fruit and macadamia nuts, or Buttermilk waffles served with lemon curd, almond crumble, seasonal fruits, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.

For those keen for a more substantial meal, Wildflour is also cranking out Breakfast Burritos with free-range eggs, chorizo, black beans, guacamole, tomato salsa, cheese and sour cream or an Asian noodle salad with slow-cooked spiced pork, warm egg noodles, bean sprouts, Asian greens, coriander and shallots with a Thai dressing.

For traditionalists, breakfast classics such as Eggs Benny or an Egg and Bacon Roll will fit the bill.
But of course, we totally respect your choice to pull into the parking lot, run in and grab a crackling loaf of sourdough and take it home to slather in butter and a condiment of your choice. Let’s keep it simple, shall we?

Wildflour owner Michael Rose said he was constantly humbled by the love for his product, and the expansion into Weston is due in August.
Meanwhile, remember that you can now get your pastry fix seven days a week at Wildflour Fyshwick. Wildflour Kingston is also open seven days.
