Whether it’s a small chic gathering or a night on the town, there’s no denying that a hen’s party can be one of the most memorable and fun get-togethers with the girls.
But whether you’re the bride or bridesmaid, planning this very special occasion can sometimes feel like more fuss than fun—especially when you don’t know what there actually is to do in Canberra.
That’s where Simply the Best CBR comes in. Founded by Georgia McCauley—a long-time partier and event management professional—Simply the Best CBR offers exclusive access to the knowledge we all need to know: how to plan an epic shindig in Canberra.
Targeting people looking for the perfect fun weekend without the fuss, Simply the Best CBR does it all: from planning the day to booking the venue and even making sure everything is #instaworthy.
Inspired by her own experiences of trying to plan hens parties and girls’ weekends away, Georgia says she ultimately wants Simply the Best CBR to be a one-stop-shop for all things par-tay related.
“Last year I was planning a hen’s party for a friend, and I love Googling everything. I just kept Googling and Googling and I found so many cool things in Canberra, but not one place to find all of the options. I thought that was a good opportunity for me to fill that gap.” she says.
“It’s for people that just want to enjoy their weekend away but don’t want to bother with all the bookings and all the different businesses you need to deal with and deposits you need to make. I do all of that for them, they just need to show up on the date!”
With over six years of experience in event management, Georgia has used her skills and expertise (including quality testing activities and venues herself) to create three offerings: the CBR Hens Party Bible, hen party packages, and custom packages.
“The CBR Hens Party Bible is basically a directory of everything you can do in Canberra for your hen party, and I’m going to release an additional bible for girls’ weekends as well,” says Georgia. “Every vendor listed has also been tried and tested by me to ensure a good time is guaranteed and the quality is up to scratch!”
“The Bible is for the people who still like to do their own research and see everything that’s out there, but they can look through the Party Bible and choose…. It has a little blurb about the vendor, the links to their website, contact details and a link to their Instagram handle.”
Currently working on themed hens party packages that include fun activities (think cocktail making, live drawing and a boozy picnic), for brides and bridesmaids it’ll be as easy as contacting Georgia to organise a day and time to chat—removing any potential arguments about the itinerary.
And as for the custom packages, all Georgia needs is a conversation about what vibe you would like, and she’ll take it from there.
“I’ve even got a questionnaire for the bride so I can find out exactly what she wants! I’ve found that a lot of the time the bride and the organiser—usually the maid of honour—are quite opposite, so one might be super wild and the other isn’t, or one likes drinking and the other doesn’t,” she says.
“It also takes the pressure off the organiser to know all these things about the bride to be, so I can get the answers without them having to awkwardly ask, and then we can meet halfway.”

“I really hope that people can look forward to a weekend in Canberra without the hassle of the planning,” says Georgia. “Especially in the lead-up—because sometimes that can take away from the weekend.”
