We’ve always said if you’ve got it, haunt it.
If you’re keen to trick or treat this year but your neighbourhood is lacking in the spooky-factor, have no fear (well, have a little fear) – our loyal readers have filled us in on the spookiest streets in Canberra so you can eat, drink and be scary!
Southside
Bugden Avenue, Fadden
Ellerston Avenue, Isabella Plains
Osmand Street, Wanniassa
Ammon Place, Kambah
Jansz Crescent, Griffith
Curlewis Crescent, Richardson Street and surrounding streets, Garran
Numeralla Street, O’Malley
Jarrahdale Street, Fisher
Northside
Flemington Road, Mitchell
Antill Street and Aspinall Street, Watson (notable mention went to the Solstice complex)
Campbell Street and Paterson Street, Ainslie
Haven Street, Harrison
McIntosh Street, Scullin
Bunduluk Crescent, Ngunnawal
Benalla Street, Crace and surrounding streets
This list was provided by readers based on their trick or treating experience last year, so keep in mind it may differ this year! It’s always best to do a spooky scope-out the day before or on October 31 to suss out the scariest streets for trick or treating fun. Try and stay as close as possible to your ‘hood for #squadghouls and to avoid overflow!
When is the best time to go?
Between 6 –8pm is usually the most fab-boo-lous time to trick or treat. Remember if a house isn’t decorated, it’s usually an indication not to knock!
Know any more spooky streets? Let us know and we can add them to the list!
