Beauty clinics can often bring on nerves if you’re going for the first time. What if I react badly to the treatment? What if they don’t know what they’re doing?

Then again, there are times when you walk into an appointment and it’s clear you’re in good hands from the minute you enter.

With state-of-the-art technology, tailored consultations and expert staff at the helm of their business, Sycamore Medi Spa undoubtedly fits into the latter category.

Co-founders Claire Chen and Vivian Zheng say the new store will introduce their signature treatments and high-level skin technology to a new clientele.

“We will have four beautiful treatment rooms, along with a relaxing consultation area and our exclusive range of products, so we are very excited to expand the brand,” Claire says.

To celebrate the launch, Sycamore will host a Christmas party for their VIP clients (and new clients too!) at the freshly opened Franklin clinic on 10 December.

There will be three exclusive sessions at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, with each session including a delicious high tea, refreshments, a free skin consultation, product discounts and a luxe gift bag of skin goodies worth up to $150.

Based on technology

With advanced diplomas in the beauty industry, Claire and Vivian say they initially decided to launch Sycamore based on technology.

“Over the years we have dealt with various types of skin conditions, and have comprehensive knowledge and solid skills in the aesthetics industry,” Vivian says.

“There are senior beauticians in our team who have been working for 12 years on a regular basis to share their experience in skin diagnosis and techniques, and we always require each beautician to learn the latest information in the medical and aesthetic industry.

“We like to use professionalism and technology to help every client create a better self, and have always had a comprehensive understanding of our customers.”

Each appointment with Sycamore includes a detailed consultation to understand your skin’s needs, along with a professional and effective beauty plan and follow up consultation to see your skin looking its best.

Some of Sycamore’s signature skin treatments include the Alma laser (for pigmentation removal), Clearlift laser (for neckline reduction), Ultraforma III (non-surgical face lifting), Venus Diamond Polar (skin tightening and lift) and IPL (for sensitive/ redness/ acne/rejuvenation /freckles.)

Each facial treatment includes a soothing head and shoulder massage (perfect for releasing tension during the busy Christmas season.)

“We cater to so many different skin conditions, and also have many pregnant clients with sensitive skin who may not ordinarily have any available treatments at other clinics,” Claire says.

“You can choose any kind of facial and add something in, for example extractions, massage or deep cleansing, and we can tailor your facial to suit any skin condition.”

Along with skin treatments, the clinic also offers eyelash extensions, eyebrow tattooing, injections and hair removal, meaning you can get the top to toe beauty experience in the one location.

Sycamore also stocks the very best in skincare, including cult favourite Skinceuticals, German brand German Dr Babor, French brand Fillmed and Spanish brand BCN.

With the clinic’s name symbolising a tree that provides strength and protection, it’s a fitting choice, says Vivian.
