Think off peak season

You can save thousands by having your wedding in Autumn or Winter (and frankly Canberra’s scenery in Autumn is ridiculously stunning.) Need convincing? Check out the benefits of having a winter wedding here.

Skip the Saturday wedding

Buck the trend and try a Friday night sunset wedding or a beautiful Sunday lunch.

Opt for a roving reception

Cut costs by choosing a roving reception/cocktail event rather than a formal sit down reception – plus it allows guests to mingle!

Skip the cake

Cakes often get forgotten at the end of the night – another option is to stock your own candy bar or cheese platter!

Get crafty

Make your own centrepieces or bomboniere or purchase your own florals (this real bride bought hers at a grocery store and saved heaps – and they looked stunning!)
