Dickson just became your new wellness destination with the arrival of a new luxurious addition to the area.
Say hello to GROUNDUP Wellness, an all-in-one wellness clinic designed to help locals reset and rejuvenate their bodies.
Imagine a space dedicated to making you healthier, happier, and more balanced. Featuring state-of-the-art infrared and traditional saunas, a red-light therapy bed, and ice baths, GROUNDUP Wellness takes your wellness journey to a whole new level of luxury.
Officially open to the public, this unique facility is the latest addition to the Viva Leisure family. Together, they’re redefining how Canberrans approach fitness and wellness by offering diverse and holistic health solutions.
Located next to GROUNDUP’s dedicated reformer Pilates studio in the heart of Dickson, and surrounded by leafy views, Viva Leisure Senior General Manager Matt Muller says GROUNDUP Wellness is so much more than what meets the eye.
“It’s a space to nurture your mind and body,” he says.
“GROUNDUP Wellness is where luxury meets purpose. It’s a sanctuary designed to restore your body, refresh your mind, and support a more balanced, healthier lifestyle.”
The opening of Dickson marks the first GROUNDUP Wellness space in Canberra (we have our fingers crossed that there will be more to come). The facility offers guests the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in a premium recovery area that includes stunning amenities such as infrared saunas, traditional saunas, ice baths, and a red-light therapy bed, it’s an unparalleled offering in the city.
“By introducing GROUNDUP Wellness to Dickson, we’ve created a premium space with state-of-the-art recovery facilities,” Matt explains.
“These amenities support muscle recovery, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, offering a holistic approach to health.”
“Our wellness centre is open to everyone—members and non-members alike,” says Matt.
“You can access it through single-visit bookings, packs, or memberships, making it a flexible and inclusive experience.”
While GROUNDUP Wellness is exclusive to Dickson for now, the GROUNDUP Braddon Movement studio is set to open in January 2025. This beautiful new location, situated above Braddon’s Club Lime, will focus on movement-based classes, offering reformer Pilates, mat Pilates, yoga, and hot yoga.
Although this studio won’t include wellness facilities like saunas and ice baths, Viva Leisure hopes to expand the wellness offering to more locations in the near future.
