Americo Alvarenga is an award-winning screenwriter. Originally from San Francisco, California, he has worn many hats (none of them tricornered, but he is open to the possibility) in film, television, video games, speci-fic, and comics. When he was sixteen years old, the late, great Stan Lee told him he would hire him “on the spot” if he was a just year older. With those words and finding his amazing partner in grime, Americo was able to fulfill that dream with his latest graphic novel, Dirtbags! As president of the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild, a writer and artist guild in Canberra, he hopes he can “pay forward” the inspiration that was given to him.
