Dhani Gilbert is a proud young Wiradjuri woman that has grown up on Ngunnawal Country in Canberra; she is passionate about community, culture, the environment, social justice and youth empowerment. If you ask Dhani about herself she will tell you she is just an ordinary Year 11 student, who is doing what she can, where she can. Her active contributions to the Canberra community has seen Dhani be named the 2018 Young Canberra Citizen of the Year, and during recent ACT NAIDOC celebrations of community excellence, Dhani was also named the 2018 ACT NAIDOC Youth as well as ACT Scholar of the Year.
