Michele E. Hawkins

As a young child adrift on one of Aotearoa New Zealand's wild and sparsely inhabited islands, Michele E. Hawkins fell under the spell of her Māori mother's stories of the mysterious beings who also dwelt there. Those early years led to a lifelong love of storytelling in all its forms, from film to opera to theatre to ballet, and eventually to her penning her thoughts about same, something she has now done for some fifteen-odd years.
